What this book is about
Everyone is polishing the label. Hardly anyone talks about the change.
Organisations buy licences, run pilots and train their staff. Yet the work itself hardly changes. And very few ask whether their people are becoming more capable, or quietly less.
This field guide brings together the big consultancy studies and maturity models, the books, the field experiments and the company stories, and the change models most of us learned in business school. It reads them side by side with one question in mind: does any of this help an organisation take the next real step?
It does not add another label. It starts with an honest review of where we stand, then guides you through the most promising methods to bring AI into your work and embed it, from mapping your value streams to building adoption from the people up. It also looks at the change methods that can make this work: what each one offers, and where it stops once AI enters the picture.
What is inside
- 1
Where we stand
For busy managers and leaders. The gap between using AI and changing how an organisation works, what people mean by AI-native, what the market offers, and why buying AI is not the same as transforming.
- 2
How to get there
The methods. Mapping where AI belongs in your work, building adoption from the people up, the change models we know and where they stop, the building blocks for an augmentation transformation, and how to start in your own organisation.
- 3
References
Every source we used: what it found, and how strong the evidence is. Careful experiments, surveys and company success stories are clearly marked as such.
